Nitisha Patel is Feast Box’s incredibly talented development chef. Here she tells us about her journey to Feast Box and how she comes up with the delicious meals that end up on your plate!
Tell us a little about your background:
I am a classically trained Chef and I studied Culinary Arts Management at University, working in hotels and restaurants along the way. After graduation, I worked in product development, developing convenience meals for the UK’s leading supermarkets.
Why did you want to become Feast Box’s Chef?
Working for Feast Box is such an exciting time in my life and it gives me great pleasure to be involved in such a fantastic project! Not only do we aim to bring authentic dishes to your door, but we love knowing that we are also helping the less adventurous cooks to create their own recipes and become budding chefs in the making.
What are your priorities when planning a dish?
I want to make sure we are packing a memorable punch of flavour whilst keeping the recipe as quick and convenient as possible. Also, creating a unique and exciting meal that’s true to Eastern cuisine.
What is the best thing about your job?
There are no barriers at Feast Box - there are no restrictions with the ingredients we use to make the recipes as authentic and flavoursome as possible! We’re also free to be innovative with the dishes and put a twist on a classic.
What's coming up that we have to look forward to?
I’m currently working on a street food project for Feast Box which is really exciting as it's my favourite type of food. I can’t wait to test some of these super tasty recipes and for people to start adding them to their boxes!
