Description

A delectable culinary wonder, The Tikka Masala is considered British-Indian cuisine’s most famous creation. There’s many myths associated with its origin, the most famous being that in 1970 a Glasgow-Pakistani chef named Ali Ahmed Aslam added a touch of tomato soup and a sprinkling of spices to some tandoori chicken skewers that a customer complained were too dry. Perhaps it’s only a story, and in any case Indian cooking’s focus on spontaneous improvisation means that there will never be a definitive, original recipe. Though most famously made with chicken, our vegetarian take on the dish is equally as delicious. Our buttery, melt-in-the-mouth paneer acts as a blank canvas for the creamy, vibrant sauce infused with dynamic, Indian spices.

Cooking Instructions

Cook from frozen

Microwave
Place on a microwaveable plate. Cook on full power 900W 6 mins, 800W 6mins. Peel back film lid and add 2 tbsp of water to rice, stir both sections and cook 900W 2 1/2 mins, 800W 3mins. Allow to stand for 1 min before serving.

Oven
Remove sleeve & pierce film lid. Place on a baking tray on the middle shelf and heat for 25mins. Peel back film lid, add 2tbsp of water to rice, stir both sections, recover and cook a further 15-20mins. Allow to stand for 1min before serving.

Storage
Keep frozen -18°C Do not refreeze once thawed
