Recipe Description: 

This fragrant stew is deliciously warming and comforting. Seasoned with Spanish sweet smoked paprika (pimentón dulce), the rich tomato sauce envelopes the chickpeas in flavour whilst the prawns (gambas) are tossed with chilli, garlic and fresh parsley. The term "pil pil" is Basque and refers to dishes cooked in a lot of oil with garlic and spice. This dish certainly delivers on that front. In Spain during Winter, store-cupboard staples like pulses are used alongside fresh seafood and this tapas dish would be typical of dishes cooked on the southern coast. Just serve with liberal chunks of good crusty bread for dunking.
